About Statue of Unity
Statue of Unity is the World’s tallest statue which is located in Kevadiya Gujrat. It is built as a memory of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel who is also known as the Iron Man of India. Stated in 2013 by the then chief minister of Gujrat Shree Narendra Modi the construction was completed in 2018 when he was the Prime Minister of India. The 182 mt tall statue has the contribution of thousands of farmers in India who gave their iron for building the statue. The face of the statue is towards the Sardar Sarovar Dam which is 3.2km from the location . The Sardar Sarovar or Narmada dam was the dram project of Sardar Shree Vallabh Bhai Patel.
He had dreamt of building a dam for the people of the region who were facing drought situation. But unfortunately he died before the dam was completed . Sardar shab had played a very big role in uniting the princely states of India into one nation after independence therefore to honor his dedication and work the govt. of Gujrat decided to make World’s tallest statue .

How to Reach
Nearest Railway Station : Kevadiya ( First Station operated through Renewable Energy) . Good connectivity from Vadodara.
By Road : It is well connected by road from all sides . It takes around 2 hours to reach Kevadiya from vadodara.
